SRT has been providing engineering support and program management services to the Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside (SAM) since 2006. Our team works with SAM’s General Manager, operators, and staff to develop planning and engineering solutions that keep the wastewater collection and treatment facilities operating efficiently for coastal communities including the City of Half Moon Bay, El Granada, Montara, Moss Beach, and Princeton. SRT maintains on-call engineering status for a myriad of essential projects as part of SAM’s Capital Improvement Program, with timelines varying from a few months to several years. Our team supports SAM in designing and constructing various improvements, from routine upgrades to wastewater treatment plant equipment, pumps, and processes to large-scale replacements of thousands of linear feet of force main piping. SRT’s comprehensive services include planning, permitting and regulatory coordination, feasibility studies, conceptual engineering, detailed design including hydraulic modeling, bidding and construction contract award support, engineering services during construction, and project commissioning and closeout.
