Project Description

SRT has helped numerous water utilities and small water systems to develop or update their Watershed Sanitary Survey for submission to the California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB). These assessments evaluate potential sources of contamination and contamination risks through field visits and analysis of historical data, whenever available. Watershed sanitary survey reports detail the watershed’s land uses and geological conditions, discuss raw water quality and the treatment processes in place to address the presence of any contaminants, and present watershed control and management practices to fulfill the SWRCB requirements and ensure the protection of the system’s water supply.

Unique Challenges

  • SRT is familiar with the data and operational challenges faced by small water systems, including incomplete or fully analog datasets, knowledge gaps due to high staff turnover, and limited operations staff availability. We are experienced in addressing potential data limitations and are expertly equipped to produce high-quality analyses and deliverables.
