As part of the Headworks Project element of SFPUC’s effort to improve the Southeast Wastewater Treatment Plant, SRT developed the demolition plan for the existing headworks facility at San Francisco’s largest treatment plant. This included designing a new, concrete, underground channel for routing influent to an existing treatment basin in a constrained location. Working with a utility-locating contractor, we inventoried and analyzed existing utilities underground and in existing utility trenches to design appropriate replacement trenches.

SRT provided technical design expertise as well on-site engineering support for this multi-pronged project. We contributed local know-how and reconnaissance, contributing technical insight.
